What the owners needed

A son working in Bangkok wanted a house on his parents' land so the family could live together — and had to follow the build mostly on LINE.

Changes from the plan

  • Ground-floor bedroom enlarged to 18 m²
  • Added a prayer room upstairs
  • Floor raised 60 cm because the land sits below the road

Build diary

  1. Month 1

Setting out and piling — photos and video on LINE every Saturday

  2. Month 3

Upper structure complete, instalment 4 inspected

  3. Month 6

Roof on, walls up, electrical and plumbing in

  4. Month 9

Joint inspection, 14 snag items fixed, handover
